Burwood has been celebrating the onset of spring with a festival for a quarter of a century. The Festival has blossomed over the years and now embraces the whole of September as Burwood’s Spring Celebrations. Burwood Festival is the highlight of the celebrations and has grown to be one of Sydney’s biggest and most vibrant urban festivals.

Each year the event is revitalised with new and exciting additions and attractions. 2 years ago we incorporated the popular Classic Car Display into the Burwood Festival. This year we are expecting over 250 of these timeless vehicles to present to the public. The Festival will be treated to a brand new layout in Burwood Park including a dedicated International Food Festival featuring cuisine from over 40 nations. We are also expanding the Carnival area into the lower park with a special children’s bungy jumper, climbing wall, slide and jumping castle. The traditional giant carnival in the upper park will also feature new rides.

This year we have adopted an exciting new theme which will unveil fresh and thrilling entertainment.... 'SPRING CARNIVAL OF CULTURES'
